Black Isle Words Festival event.Poetry and Prose workshop - Where Wild Things Are.“Walking Through Words”-Gerry Cambridge and Linda Cracknell lead a workshop for  those interested in either writing poetry or prose, inspired by an undemanding walk in the environs of Cromarty. Please wear waterproofs and sturdy footwear and bring along a notebook and pen. Numbers restricted to 15.Booking essential. £10/ 7.50

Elgin Rotary Club is organising a community event on Sunday, 12 September 2010 which will bring together Moray's Armed Forces and civilian communities. The 'Holding Hands' will be a human chain of 5-6 thousand people which will stretch the 4.6 miles from the gates of RAF Lossiemouth to Elgin Town Hall along the cycle track. This will be a physical and symbolic linking of hands and communities which will convey support and appreciation to our serving men and woman in a unique way. The route will be divided into 5 colour coded sectors with sector 1 starting at Elgin Town Hall and sector 5 finishing at RAF Lossiemouth (see map below). In between there will be 3 temporary car parks serving the rural parts of the chain.
